(1) The watershed protection officer may cultivate any crop or fruit and plant trees, plants or grass or any other work by adopting land use system on the designated land within the protected watershed area.

(2) If the land designated as per sub-section (1) is a land owned by someone, the relevant landowner or owner shall adopt the land-use system and perform such activities on his/her land.

(3) Sub-section According to (2), the department will provide technical knowledge and services to the land owner or owner to carry out the works by adopting the land utilization system and will also give the necessary financial support as specified. If a mohi is evicted from any land due to being forced to do some work, the government of Nepal will give compensation to such mohi. If the concerned landowner wants to give up his ownership to the Government of Nepal after taking compensation for the land that has been used for some work, such landowner can give up the ownership. While giving compensation to the land owner and Mohi who gives up the ownership in that way, the compensation will be given keeping in mind the prevailing price.
